Snapchat has launched new filters to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day of India. These filters include stickers, lenses, geofilters, Bitmojis and hyperlocal geofilters. Snap will campaign with brands like Vivo, Oppo, and Samsung to promote these specific lenses on occasion on their devices. These lenses are now available on the app and can be accessed through the Explore tab.

The company says the new lenses give users their very own tricolor cap and also wishes those who see it a “Happy Republic Day.” There’s a section in Snapchat’s Lens Explorer that features special community-made Republic Day lenses. The company claims to have introduced several innovations to complement Republic Day AR lenses to commemorate Republic Day. Recently, Snapchat announced that it is working on a set of new parental controls that will help limit how users can contact minors on the messaging service. Snap says it will restrict its Quick Add feature to limit adult strangers from finding minors on the app to add them as friends in order to protect users that fall between the ages of 13 and 17 on the app.

How To Open

  • To open the Republic Day themed Snap filters on a smartphone, open the Snapchat application and head over to the search located on top of the screen that displays multiple lenses and filters.
  • Search for “Republic Day 2022” and the application will show all the lenses and filters that are available.
  • Thereafter, users can click special Snaps and share them with family members or friends to celebrate Indian national day.

Snapchat said that the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses is the first-ever television event from the Harry Potter franchise. Upon the occasion, Warner Bros. has partnered with Snapchat to create an AR-based digital experience for all the Harry Potter fans around the world to celebrate the culture followed in the school of magic and bring some fun to Snapchat users watching the new show from home.
