Samsung Sero, the company’s unique rotating TV that can be used both horizontally and vertically, was launched in India. Sero, which means vertical in Korean, is a unique 4K QLED TV that is attached to a stand that allows it to switch from a traditional horizontally oriented viewing position to a vertically oriented one. The TV is available in a single 43-inch 4K QLED variant and will be available for purchase in India exclusively at Reliance Digital stores.
Samsung Sero Price in India
Originally launched in South Korea last year, Samsung Sero is priced quite high for a 43-inch screen option, at Rs. 1,24,990. However, the unique design is what commands a hefty price tag, with the TV capable of switching from horizontal to vertical orientation – essentially similar to landscape and portrait mode on a smartphone. The TV is currently only sold at Reliance Digital stores in India.
Specifications and Features Samsung Sero
Available in a single 43-inch display size option, Samsung Sero features an Ultra-HD QLED display, with a resolution of 3840×2,160 pixels. The TV supports up to HDR10 + format and can be used in multiple orientations. This ability to change the orientation of the screen is the main feature of television and is touted as making it more social media friendly.
For social media consumption users can use this TV as a big screen on vertical scrolling apps such as Instagram and Twitter. Smartphone video captured in portrait orientation can be viewed on the Sero TV naturally facing the screen, rather than black bars around the video.
Audio output of 60W is delivered by Samsung Sero through a front-triggered 4.1-channel audio system. A Tizen based operating system is used for the functionality of Smart TV. Samsung Sero TV also support Apple AirPlay 2, Bixby, and Amazon Alexa.
