The Realme company shared on its blog that it will debut its SLED 4K Smart TV in India soon. It will be the “world’s first SLED 4K Smart TV”, according to Realme. This 55-inch smart TV with 4K resolution will offer high colour accuracy for better eye care. To develop this SLED technology, Realme has worked with the chief scientist of SPD technology, John Rooymans.
According to Realme, this Smart TV will come in 55-inch screen size and have 108 percent coverage of the NTSC colour gamut with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Standard LEDs and even some QLEDs have lower NTSC value of SLED. For a vivid visual experience, the smart TV will deliver more colours.
This Smart TV uses RGB backlighting that is turned into white. The company says, this will reduce the harmful effects of blue light but deliver high colour purity. At the initial stage, QLED TVs use blue backlighting that is then converted into white light.
More balanced colour distribution between red, green, and blue with same colour density is delivered using RGB backlighting, the company says. This smart TV has passed TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and from the OLED TVs, SLED display technology is the only one thing apart.
Other specifications of Realme SLED 4K Smart TV are not shared by Realme and not confirmed on unveiling it.
In the market, currently Realme has a 43-inch and a 32-inch smart TV available. LED displays are used in two modes and run Android. The upcoming Realme SLED 4K Smart TV will also run on Android.
