Nokia To Launch New Smartphones Today


A launch event is going to be hosted today by Nokia licensee HMD Global which will be livestreamed via the company’s YouTube channel. At today’s virtual event, two new Nokia smartphones will be unveiled. The two models may be the Nokia 2.4 and the Nokia 3.4.

HMD Global announced that the launch event will begin at 4pm BST (8:30pm IST) today and will be live streamed via the Nokia Mobile YouTube channel. Earlier these phones were expected to be launched in September.

Expected Specifications of Nokia 3.4

On the back along with a fingerprint sensor, the Nokia 3.4 may sport a circular camera module. On the side, the power button and volume rockers are also spotted. The camera module of it is expected to feature a primary sensor of 13-megapixel, a snapper of 5-megapixel, and a shooter of 2-megapixel. At the front, it may feature a camera of 8-megapixel for selfies.

With an aspect ratio of 20:9, the Nokia 3.4 may feature a 6.52-inch (720×1,600) hole-punch display. It may be paired with 3GB of RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC. The internal storage of phone is expected to be of 32GB and 64GB which can be expanded via microSD card and may pack a 4,000mAh battery.

According to a report, this phone may come in two RAM + storage configurations that is 2GB + 32GB and 3GB + 64GB. Blue, grey and purple are the three colour options the phone may offer.

On Geekbench, the phone was allegedly spotted in July with inclusion of a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. With a 19:9 aspect ratio, the Nokia 2.4 may feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display and 4,500mAh battery.
