This GameStop PS5 restock will have a tempting bundle that includes two of the newest PlayStation 5 games: Horizon: Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7. You’ll be required to buy the special edition of each, getting an extra $10 out of you. In February, I taught The Shortcut subscribers how to save another $10 Horizon: Forbidden west by buying the PS4 version and applying the free PS5 upgrade, so technically you’re out $20. Regardless, you’ll finally have a chance to buy a PS5.
Here are the PS5 bundle contents, according to the restock inventory memo I received from my GameStop sources last week:
- PS5 Disc console – $499
- Gran Turismo 7 (25th Anniversary Edition) – $89.99
- Horizon: Forbidden West (Limited Edition) – $79.99
- PS5 Dual Sense Charging Station made by PowerA – $18.99
- PS4 HyperX Cloud Headset Blue – $59.99
- $50 PlayStation Network gift card – you guessed it, $50
The total price will be $797.96 – close to $800 – for everything included. You’ll also need a GameStop Power Rewards Pro membership that’s $14.99 a year. That’s more expensive than previous GameStop bundles, which were all about $750, but this one includes two new games, dropping bundle staples like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which you may have already played by now since its launch in the Fall of 2020.
What about the PS5 Digital Edition bundle?
There are two PS5 Digital bundles for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8 at 11am EST. That means you’ll want to decide ahead of time which to buy so you can pounce on this online restock.
PS5 Digital bundle #1 – total price: $652.97 (when added up)
- PS5 Digital Edition console $399
- PS5 Dual Sense Charging Station made by PowerA – $18.99
- Cosmic Red DualSense Wireless Controller – $74
- $50 Gift Card – $50
- $50 PSN card – $50
- Playstation Plus 12 month membership – $59.99
PS5 Digital bundle #2 – total price: $661.98 (when added up)
- PS5 Digital Edition console $399
- PS5 Dual Sense Charging Station made by PowerA – $18.99
- Cosmic Red DualSense Wireless Controller – $74
- Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD with Heatsink – $169.99
Unlike the GameStop PS5 Disc bundle prices, the Digital Edition is an estimate based on the current face value of everything included. I’ll confirm when it’s live.
Target PS5 news likely this week
The Target PS5 restock news is imminent, and that’s good news if you want to buy the Sony console for MSRP. You’ll likely find the PS5 for sale at Target online late this week since it wasn’t sold last week. It’s always been a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday – Thursday remains the most popular day of the week. Target employees keep messaging me about the stock they are getting into the back room of their individual stores.
The Target PS5 restock is always early in the morning between 7am EST and 8am EST, with the most popular time being 7:40am EST. Inventory will be light, but it’ll be your best chance to find Sony console in time for Horizon Forbidden West’s launch and download the PlayStation Plus free games for March 2022 on for PS5 before they expire on March 31, 2022.
