X-Ray functionality of Amazon Music has been expanded to let you see interesting tracks and behind-the-scenes trivia of your favorite songs. X-Ray is not a brand new feature on Amazon Music like it used to be. The music streaming service extended the existing functionality to provide details on particular songs. For some time, X-Ray has been an important feature on Kindle and Amazon Prime Video to provide additional detail on what content is available.
The X-Ray expansion is available worldwide on all songs listed on Amazon Music, with some additional “fun facts” provided for popular songs in the US and UK, such as The Verge reports.
You can access the titbits and trivia of your songs by dragging the X-Ray icon to Amazon Music. After that, you can slide your finger up to review each fact or detail available in the X-Rays section. You can also tap the Credits button to view the credit associated with the song.
The artist’s backstoryis included in the titbits about when their song was released. On particular tracks available on Amazon Music, it will also offer anecdotes.
According to the last update, Amazon Music had X-Ray to display lyrics which automatically display and scroll line by line while the song is playing.
The Extended X-Ray is now rolling out live, although for an up-to-date experience, you can install the latest Amazon Music app on your Android or iOS device.
This new attempt of Amazon will help it distinguish from Spotify and YouTube Music, which are also known choice for music lovers around the world. In September, the American giant added podcast streaming to Amazon Music to win over podcast listeners. According to official data provided in January, Amazon Music has more than 55 million subscribers.
